So I followed a link from Carrulous Grey's sig on the Conclave forum just out of interest and found this place. I have to say I really like the adventurescape you guys are creating and I was wondering is it invite only or is anyone allowed to join in the discussion.
PS sorry if this is the wrong place I just didn't want to put it in somewhere it'd be in the way.

its open to anyone and everyone - though obviously its alot easier to get a smaller number of people to agree on one thing than a huge horde - but yes, you're more than welcome, read, crit & comment the ideas and give us your own that expands what we already have

Ok cool well I've read a fair few (and yet there still seems to be so much more!) of the threads and I have to say I'm very impressed by what you guys have done.
I have two questions which I'm not sure where to post so I might as well put them here.
The general look of the Hivebergs have been completed but very little info (from what I've seen) on their actual composition ie industrial zones, what sort of residences will people be living in, recreational/commercial areas etc. I was wondering has much thought gone into this sort of thing yet?
I ask because the next to opening scene of Eisenhorn in the Sundome and the terrace residence added a lot of character to Hubris and I think it would be cool to get a feel for where it is that the average joe lives, spends free time/any disposable income. Plus part of an investigation during a campaign on Martius' Bounty may lead to undercover work amongst the working population.
Secondly, I haven't come across where in space the planet is actually located eg which segmentum? Also, has anyone drawn a rough map of the planet's surface yet?
Of course I still have a lot of threads to read through, I've only been browsing and clicking the ones which have interesting titles so sorry if these have aldready been addressed. I also understand that this project is still very much in the development stages so sorry if those questions have not yet been considered.

The innards of one Hive is likely to be a little different from the next - which is why most of the threads don't state that this is the be-all and end-all of Hive culture. It would be greatly appreciated if you started a new thread, on the layout and architecture of, say, Johannesberg, with your thoughts on what the insides of this (and therefore most but not all) Hiveberg would look like.
Only the most basic of world maps was constructed in the "Global Map" thread - so I think we can really say no to that one. We know we have a single continent, which is largely forest, with one main city, but beyond that not a lot has been nailed down.

Ooh...new people! Yay! Welcome!
'ell, it's been so long since I logged on here...I've been keeping an eye out, of course, but I haven't had time to post...that said, it's getting bloody slow anyway, but...we'll see if it gets better after the exams.
Anyway, nice to see both of you...what you can do to help out...well, suggest ideas, discuss stuff, what everyone else has been doing basically, and...wait...
Can either of you...draw?

Thanks for the welcome Doug. No unfortunately my drawing skills extend only so far as badly proportioned stick figures but I do know another Inquisitor fan who I may be able to rope into the project if you guys need an artist.
If you give me a few examples of what sort of stuff you need I'll mention it to him when our exams finish (although that will be a month or so away). Also I'll post up a topic on zones in the Hivebergs (love the idea by the way) as soon as I'm finished my Planetkill entries.

I look forward to seeing the ideas, when they go up - it'll be good to have a new topic going up after the slugnishness of the forum, of late And Sumaki:

*jawdrop* i retire from my position, i don't deserve it for my small-time efforts. Sumi, you are most definatly welcome aboard. Out of interest, could you possibly do a mock-up of a creature that looks basically the same as the new LotR Dragon, but without the wings, and green? If yes then it would be a wonderful basis of an idea i proposed a long time ago here, but which i never got round to submitting properly.
