Hello again, I haven't contributed for a bit due to exams and what not. But of course to much work is bad for the health, and I'm probably looking for a distraction. However, I was recently introduced by a friend to a brilliant new realistic terrian image maker called Terragen, maybe you've heard of it. Any way, I was really suprised about the quailty of the images and scope for creativity, as it is quite easy to use for basic stuff, and the complex stuff is a little harder to acheive, but still more reachable then the other complex CGI programs I have come across. But, played around and thought of you guys. Would it be any use? (images below) One of the draw backs is you can't put any other 3-D images in it, as the program essentially creates a 3-D world, which you take pictures of, (see the weird island, ring thing) but I have been playing around on photoshop, as the images are Jpegs, and it works just like a normal image. But seen as I don't have paintshop, creating images from raw is difficult. But never the less I have tried (pylon). Anyway, see for yourself.

Most impressive. This could indeed be very useful, so if anyone feels like whipping up a landscape shot of a coast or berg, that would be excellent. Can you make/texture buildings or trees in the program? Or would that have to be shopped in later?

Yes unfortunately it has to be shopped in, which is a bugger. Hench the cheesy pylon.

Hmmm... Could make the forests a little tricky... There are usually extension packs and things on the net you can, erm, buy... One of them might have buildings that could be handy. Otherwise, shopping from another program may be the only answer.

For Terragen? Basic stuff can be done...but I was thinking more sea scapes, etc.
